Greetings! My name is Dana Pruitt. I am excited to be working with Jean Wells Travel. I enjoy meeting new people, tasting new cuisine, and most importantly arriving in and exploring new destinations. I have traveled extensively throughout the continental U.S. and Canada. I have always been fascinated by travel starting with my first plane trip to Seattle, Washington when I was 7 years old. I believe that was 1984, oh how time flies. The World’s Fair was a magical place, filled with bright lights, amazing sights and smells and exciting rides. Going to the top of the Space Needle and riding the Monorail were thrilling! Good food, great times, and shiny souvenirs remain wonderful memories for me.
I graduated from UNC-C with a degree in psychology and elementary education. After working in the mental health field as a Case Manager I decided I wanted to teach in the classroom. I found a position teaching second grade but I really wanted to teach Preschool. I was thrilled when I got a position teaching in the NC Prekindergarten program. 4 year olds are my favorite age group. They are so loving, eager to learn and will say anything! I am married to my wonderful husband Scott and we have twin baby girls who keep us very busy!! I look forward to traveling with them in the future.
Key West, Florida was my most recent destination. The Conch train is an excellent way to see the sites of the town. My husband and I were apprehensive about riding the Conch Tour Train (Out of the fear of sheer boredom). However, the tour guide was so hilarious, when the tour was over we didn’t want to exit our passenger car. We started off meeting the six-toed cats at the Hemingway House. Next, we enjoyed the delicious cuisine just off Mallory Square in the historic seaport district. We visited the Shipwreck and Treasures Museum and finished with the Butterfly Conservatory. We ended the night on Duval Street. It is the place to be with plenty of great restaurants and live music. The remainder of the trip was spent swimming at the pool, chasing iguanas, and exploring Duval Street. We ended our trip by sailing on a 120 ft. Catamaran to the Barrier Reef to go snorkeling. We saw many tropical fish, dolphins, and a sting ray. It was an exciting snorkeling trip!
Hello. My name is Pamela Davis and I’ve recently joined Jean Wells Travel as an Independent Contractor and am thrilled to be connected with such an awesome team of travel professionals.
Retired from the United States Air Force, I served my country proudly. Having been asked several times if I would do it again…well, at my present age…NO. However, at the day and age I served, my answer is definitely YES. Europe was my home for more than four awesome years! If given the opportunity, I would move back…as I know I will one day.
Travel has always been a part of my life. There’s a picture in one of my antiquated photo albums of me sitting on my Dad’s lap as an infant vacationing in Columbus, Ohio! How cool is that! I’m sure that’s where my journey began…and since then I have traveled to over 42 Continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and more than 11 international countries…visiting some of them more than once! My favorite is Europe…with Italy being at the top of the list.
I live to explore new places and I’m always planning my next adventure! I am here to assist in planning YOUR next adventure. Whether it’s business or pleasure, your satisfaction is at the top of my list! Please contact me at:
Meet Sonsera Kiger, the newest globe-trotting member of the JWT team!
From my very first trip abroad as a teenager, when my mom suggested that we live with a home-exchange family to study Spanish in Cuernavaca, Mexico, my wanderlust heart has taken me around the world.
I have made my home in many different countries, including, most-recently, Santiago, Chile, where I launched Chilenos Creativos (Creative Chileans), a company promoting artists in the global marketplace. As an undergraduate at UNC-Asheville, and an MA student at Wake Forest, I lived and studied in Mexico, and Venice, Italy.
I am fully-bilingual in Latin American and Castilian Spanish, and my Italian has been described as, “charmingly passable!”
Through my travels, I have seen an active volcano explode, slept through an earthquake (and drank one-text me for the recipe!), seen an octopus change colors in its natural habitat, hitchhiked my way out of a Oaxacan forest, tracked migratory flamingos through the Atacama salt lakes, cooked my breakfast in the boiling waters of the world’s highest elevation natural geysers, hiked to the top of a dune in the world’s driest desert at sunset, stood two feet away from Picaso’s Guernica, and soaked in a natural sulfur spring in a tiny Italian town called Saturnia…and I want to help you create the travel experiences you’ve always imagined!
I am adept at planning, as well as leading, group, couples, and individual travel experiences, and would love to help you design your next adventure!
Hi! My name is Silvia Oliver and ever since I was a child, travel has been part of my life. I was born in the City of Barquisimeto, Venezuela, but my parents are originally from Ibague, Colombia. Every year we took a family trip from the Lara State in the center of Venezuela to the beautiful cities of Bogota, Cali, Medellin, Neiva, Santa Marta and even Cartagena in Colombia.
I have a bachelor's degree in Advertising and vast experiences in the fields of sales, marketing and communications. Most recently, I've been perfecting my English, working as a volunteer in the Winston-Salem public schools, and helping my husband operate his company here in WSalem. We also own a ranch in Merida, Venezuela, and return as often as we can.
Venezuela has an incredible diversity with its landscapes; from beaches to mountains to deserts to the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls, I can say I am a big fan of outdoor adventures. I have visited Aruba and Curacao, too. Living in the U.S. I have enjoyed visiting Miami, Orlando, Washington D.C., Portland, Oregon, and am very much enjoying living here in WSalem, a super friendly city that has excellent opportunities for tourism and business.
I am delighted to be part of the Jean Wells' team to contribute my skills to the personalized attention they have been offering their clients for 34 years, making sure every trip they arrange is a unique and unforgettable experience.

Hello travelers! My name is Jeff Rickert and I live here in Forsyth County with my wife Kara and two teenage daughters, Kori and Jodi. London. Los Angeles. New York City. Chicago. The Bahamas. Those are places that I've been to in the past, but what about the future? There's a big world out there that is ready to be explored and I'm ready to see to see it. Personally, I love history and have taught high school history classes at West Forsyth for 13 years and seeing where history actually took place is fantastic. That's a great reason to travel, but there are others.
Maybe you want to experience a different culture, enjoy a relaxing getaway, get married in an exotic location, check off the next item on your bucket list, or show your children the wonders of Disneyworld. Whatever it is, don't put it off any longer. Life is short. If I can help you make your trip plans a reality, please let me know. It's time to see the world!

JWT introduces Seth Martin in Reykjavik, Iceland. When he came to my office and we started talking about Iceland, he said he wanted to go to this country by himself as he knew exactly what he wanted to do, and indeed he did. With a flight from RDU, and car rental upon arrival, he began to explore this beautiful country and did all the things he wanted to do.
Click on the "Journeys" tab and read his commentary; enjoy his pictures, and you will feel as if you were in Iceland enjoying it all. Thanks, Seth, for sending this to me.
